HUNGER GAMES DIVA!!

When I first started selling on TeachersPayTeachers.com about two years ago, I came across a product for the novel HUNGER GAMES. Not being very familiar with it, I clicked on one of Tracee's Hunger Games products on TpT and was amazed by the incredible quality of  it.

As I became more and more absorbed in TpT,  I began to see Tracee's name everywhere on the Web.... Hunger Games....Hunger Games! thus I dubbed her the Hunger Games Diva!

With her great success on TpT, she's a wonderful role model for all sellers and always graciously offers help to those who have questions about technical and marketing tips.

Tracee just received the "Top 10 Teaching Blog Award" for HUNGER GAMES! She then "PAID IT FORWARD" and noted 10 favorite blogs on her site! Thank you, Tracee for choosing mine!

Take a look at her incredible site!

I've done this next project with my social studies kids when we study the Civil War. These quilts make a wonderful family keepsake!

"Over the years, I am always looking for new and different ways to present materials for my students. In this one they get to create an old fashion quit like grandmother used to make. Each square features a different piece of information from the chapter or unit of study."

Mr. E has also included a FREE item that is a great hands-on project!

Sign the Declaration of Independence

When I taught early American history and government, I had my students sign the Declaration of Independence. This government website is fantastic! Select "color printer". Then have the kids select a quill pen for either a colonist, American or Patriot then type their names in the box. Click "submit" and on the next page, "Yes I want to sign". They will then see their names on the Declaration of Independence with all the other signers. This is a great hit with parents, who have told me, they've framed them!
Make sure you use parchment type printer paper. The results are amazing when they're printed out!

Al Capone Does My Shirts

Gennifer Choldenko's Al Capone Does My Shirtshelps students understand autism through the eyes of a boy whose sister is autistic. The student worksheets in my packet are self- explanatory. They can be completed in small groups to encourage brainstorming, as assessments or as independent class work. Websites about autism are included, as well as my detailed suggestions and successful ways to teach the novel.

The student worksheets are all in black and white except the bookmarks. There are a total of 32 pages in this packet. Best for grades 6 - 8
